After this presentation, Linda conducts a business review for all the participants. Lunch is in a rustic restaurant in the mountains, specializing in home-made, delicious food. - After lunch, we set out in our bus for a drive to Lucca and a private walking tour with our own professional guide. Lucca has been an important location for thousands of years - from the earliest Ligurian settlers to the Etruscans to the Roman Empire and through the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. This enchanting town is historically famous in Italy for the international business prowess of its skilled people.
- For the famous sites of Lucca, we venture “inside the walls” and take in this beautifully preserved and elegant city (still totally enclosed by ramparts), visit some of its numerous churches (at one time over 100) and palaces, and see the house where composer Giacomo Puccini was born.

Day 6: Hotel – Santa Croce Sull’Arno - Florence - HotelAfter breakfast at our hotel, we ride our private bus to the town of Santa Croce Sull’Arno (on the same Arno River that flows through Florence and Pisa). We will have refreshments at the winery while Linda conducts another wonderful business session. We then proceed for an excursion to the idyllic seaside town of Portovenere (recently featured in U.S. commercials). This wonderful little village, composed of pastel-colored tower houses whose inhabitants fended off invaders from the sea for hundreds of years is in a beautiful location. We have lunch in Portovenere based on local seafood specialties. You have some free time in Portovenere to explore the town and the ruins with breathtaking views of the sea before we ride our bus back to the hotel. You are free for dinner on your own. Hotel B.L. You have time for relaxing and lunch on your own in Lido di Camaiore before we ride our private bus to Pisa.
- This is our most “touristy stop” to be sure. We cannot let you visit this area without seeing what is considered one of the most beautiful squares in the world. We visit the world-famous leaning tower of Pisa and the "Piazza dei Miracoli” (Square of the Miracles). This square is considered to be the most ambitious monument of the Tuscan-Romanesque period. We will visit the Duomo, the Baptistery, and other landmarks. Purchasing tickets to climb the tower is optional. A wonderful dinner will take place in a villa restaurant in the Pisa area. Hotel B.D.

This hands-on class* is suited for the children and is delightful. The kids are teamed with their travel mates to prepare an entire dinner that we will all enjoy at the end of the class. We enjoy our farewell dinner at the Campo Romano villa, and then take a ride back to our hotel.
